Absolute Beginners: People who have never touched a sewing machine and want to learn from scratch.
"Rusty" Sewists: Those who haven't sewn in years and need a refresher to regain their confidence.
New Machine Owners: Anyone who has a new machine but finds the manual overwhelming and wants to learn on their own equipment.
Open to both adults and children (Age 12+)
What is Covered
This workshop focuses on the technical essentials and practical application to ensure you leave with a finished item.
Machine Basics: Identifying different parts of your machine, winding the bobbin, and threading correctly.
Stitch Mastery: Choosing the right stitch, adjusting length and width, and understanding how to manage thread tension.
Presser Feet: Learning how to change feet and which ones to use for specific tasks like zips or buttonholes.
Maintenance: Basic care, including changing needles and troubleshooting common jams.
Practical Project: Applying your new skills immediately to create a small project—such as a coaster or cushion cover.

Class Booking Policy
Please note that class bookings are non-refundable. Due to our small class sizes, rescheduling is also very limited. If you notify us at least two weeks before the scheduled class, we will do our best to transfer your booking to another date—however, this cannot be guaranteed.
All classes require a minimum of four participants to run. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we will contact you promptly and offer either a full refund or the opportunity to rebook on an alternative date.
Minimum age for this class: 12 years old.
Important note: We will be taking photos during the session for our website and marketing purposes. If you prefer not to be included in the photos, please inform us before the session.
Please note: Depending on your individual sewing speed and experience level, you may not finish your project within the session time. However, we will ensure you leave with all the guidance, instructions, and support you need to confidently complete it at home.
